Franklin Police are looking into the theft of a business sign. The sign, valued at about $3,000, was stolen from a downtown dental practice over the 4th of July weekend.

On May 24, Franklin Police asked for your help with identifying a man who shoplifted $375 in women’s clothing from the Mallory Lane Kohl’s. Several tips came in, identifying the thief as 43-year-old David Baker, of Franklin.
Baker, a convicted felon, currently on probation, was arrested Thursday. Baker was found in possession of drugs at the time of his arrest. Charged with Theft, Heroin Possession, and Violation of Probation, Baker is being held without bond.
Franklin Police want to thank everyone who called and texted in tips, saying that without an engaged community and citizens, Baker would have likely eluded identification and capture.

When security stopped him in the parking lot, the suspect abandoned the stolen merchandise and took off running. He left in a Nissan Versa. There is a cash reward if you know who he is.

January 23, 2020: Franklin Police are offering a cash reward for information that leads to the arrest of two suspects wanted for fleeing after they stole more than $400 in groceries & merchandise from the Mallory Lane Kroger on January 13. Tessa Gill, 43, was identified as one of those suspects. Gill has last known addresses in Antioch and Hendersonville. The unidentified male in this video is also wanted.
Several motorists were endangered when the suspects evaded police on I-65 after officers spotted and attempted to pull them over following the theft. They remain at-large, today. Franklin Police and Crime Stoppers are offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to their arrests.
