Connecticut Sex Offender charged with new crimes in Franklin

On Wednesday, detectives arrested a registered sex offender from Connecticut who had been living in, but failed to register his presence in Franklin, since March. His conviction in Connecticut was related to a sex crime against a minor. Joseph Antonio Gonzalez Rodriguez, charged by Franklin Police with failing to register was released on the $75,000 bond set by the Magistrate.

Detectives returned to his Murfreesboro Road condo yesterday and re-arrested Rodriguez, charging him with Statutory Rape, after discovering he had sex with at least one Franklin minor since arriving in Tennessee. Rodriguez is back behind bars on a $100,000 bond. He is due in court on August 4.

Family offers $2,500 reward for information about Franklin man’s disappearance

The family of a Franklin man who has been missing since December is offering a $2,500 reward for information that helps find him.

Family members say that 35-year-old Gerardo Hernandez left his Franklin home on December 15. His vehicle is accounted for, but Hernandez has not been seen or heard from since. His family grows more concerned with each passing day.

Hernandez does not suffer from Alzheimer’s or dementia but may abuse drugs. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.

Absconded sex offender wanted by Franklin Police; Reward for information  

UPDATE: 09/17/2019: Weston was captured in Franklin this evening.

Released: 09/13/2019: Franklin Police are searching for Terry Lamar Weston, a registered sex offender who is considered an absconder.

After Weston failed to update his Sex Offender Registration information, Franklin Police Detectives determined that he no longer resided at the Natchez Street address where he was supposed to be living.

Weston is classified as “violent” on the Sex Offender Registry. There is a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to his arrest.

Cash reward offered for location of absconded sex offender

Weston was located and arrested late Wednesday night following a tip. Franklin Police Officers arrested Weston at a Natchez Street home without incident. 

Previously Released:
Terry Lamarr Weston is an absconder, wanted for Violation of the Sex Offender Registry.

Weston is classified as a violent offender. His convictions include Criminal Attempt to Commit Aggravated Statutory Rape, and Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.

Weston failed to register, as required, following his release from jail. Detectives cannot locate Weston and are offering a Crime Stoppers reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to his arrest.

Sex predator sought following second incident at Murfreesboro Road shopping center

The suspect who exposed himself to a Williamson Square shopper on April 9 has struck again.

A woman returned to her vehicle at 4:20 Friday afternoon, April 20, after shopping at Hobby Lobby, when she saw the light-skinned black male with facial acne scars parked next to her. The suspect had his pants down and ensured that the victim saw him engaging in sexual activity in the driver’s seat of his newer model, red Ford Taurus. The suspect was alone in the car. 

A cash reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information about this sexual predator.

Franklin Police Officers rescue woman that suspect assaulted, zip tied in condominium parking lot

A violent felony suspect is in custody after Franklin Police Officers found him on top of a woman he had zip tied, and was holding captive on Boyd Mill Avenue.

Officers were summoned to the Laurelwood Condominiums shortly before 3 am after residents were awakened by the woman screaming for help. Arriving officers found 29-year-old Randall Murphy, a resident there, holding a woman down in the parking lot. When officers ordered Murphy to get off of the woman, they found that he had restrained her with zip ties. Murphy had injured the victim so badly that she required surgery. Murphy told citizens who came to the woman’s aid, during the attack, that he was a police officer. Murphy is not a police officer. Randall Murphy and his victim had been involved in a previous relationship.

Murphy, charged with Especially Aggravated Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault, and Criminal Impersonation, is being held on the $528,000 bond set by the Magistrate. The woman Murphy assaulted is recovering in an area hospital.
