Get a glimpse at life behind the badge; Applications for Franklin Police Department Citizens’ Academy now open

Are you a Franklin resident who wants to connect with #YourFranklinPolice Officers, in a unique way, while learning a bit more about how the FPD keeps Franklin safe? You’re in luck, because we are currently accepting applications for our Citizens’ Police Academy (#FPDCPA).

Classes meet for eight consecutive Thursdays from 6-9:00 pm. Our next cohort begins on September 5. Once it fills up, applicants will be placed on a waiting list and invited to attend a future offering. The Department hosts two a year.

  • Get to know our officers and staff.
  • Hear from Franklin Police experts about intriguing topics like cold cases, crime scene investigation, SWAT operations, anti-drug and vice initiatives, critical decision-making, and community outreach.
  • Ride-along with a Franklin Police Officer on patrol.
