Does your child attend Franklin Elementary, MAC, or Head Start? Does your commute include Columbia Avenue? Important info you need to know before Monday

Starting at 4:00 pm today, Cannon Street will be closed for repairs to a sinkhole.

  • Starting Monday, parents dropping off at Franklin Elementary will enter from Battle Ave. and exit using Fairground St. to Columbia Ave.
  • MAC and Head Start students will be dropped off and picked up at the south entrance (like Summer MAC) of the Franklin Special School District Annex and exit via Fairground St. to Columbia Ave.

Franklin Police Officers will be on hand to assist with expected congestion. Officers will, however, not be able to alleviate it. Parents, as well as Columbia Avenue commuters, should allow extra time for expected delays.
