The Fourth of July is a time for celebration, food, friends, and family. It’s also one of the deadliest holidays of the year, because of drunk drivers. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, during the 2015 4th of July Holiday, 146 people were killed in drunk driving crashes. Every one of those deaths was preventable, and the result of a decision someone made to get behind the wheel of a car after drinking.
Independence Day celebrates one of our most cherished assets: freedom. If you drink & drive, you put your freedom at risk. Our officers will be out in force, on the lookout for impaired drivers, and working to keep our roads and community safe for our residents.
