Franklin Police officers were summoned to the Fieldstone Farms pool at 1:50 Tuesday morning for teens who were swimming after-hours. When officers arrived, one of the teens jumped the fence and fled on foot. Officers encountered that suspect a second time as he was leaving the area in a vehicle, a short time later.
Jackson Farris, 18, of Nashville, was identified as the fleeing suspect and taken into custody. In his backpack, officers found a semi-automatic handgun, drugs, and drug paraphernalia. Officers charged Farris with Evading Arrest, Drug Possession, Felony Drug Possession, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of a Handgun, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, and Criminal Impersonation. Farris remains jailed on a $64,000 bond. He is due in court on June 14 at 1:00 pm.
Several juveniles were charged with alcohol and drug-related crimes, as well as violation of curfew.
