The driver in Tuesday morning’s crash at W. McEwen Drive and I-65 S remains in critical condition this afternoon at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The Department has received several inquiries regarding the model and year of the single-involved vehicle, which is a 2009 Lexus RX350. Certified crash reconstructionists from the Franklin Police Department’s Critical Incident Response Team are investigating.

Things such as the vehicle’s onboard event data recorder (similar to an aircraft black box), driver toxicology, and witness accounts will be thoroughly examined as part of the investigation.
