Franklin Police Department pauses to remember 9/11, Sunday

fallen tears 2Franklin, TN – Chief Deborah Faulkner and the men and women of the Franklin Police Department will join the congregation of Franklin First United Methodist Church, during their 8:45 and 10am Sunday services, to pay tribute to the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives during the September 11, 2001 attacks on America.

Because September 11 falls on a Sunday this year, this tribute will be in lieu of the annual memorial normally held on the Franklin Police Headquarters plaza.

“I know that most Americans look for a place to go, and reflect on this day,” said Chief Faulkner. “We welcome residents to join our Officers and the FUMC congregation this Sunday.” Franklin First United Methodist Church is located at 120 Aldersgate Way, at the corner of Franklin Road and Mack Hatcher Memorial Parkway, in Franklin.
