Today at 4:24pm, the Franklin Police Department issued a news release regarding four suspects using cloned credit cards, at two Franklin retailers, to fraudulently purchase more than $1,400. The release was removed immediately after the Department learned that the photographs of two people appear to have been provided to us in error. A local couple contacted us after learning that their photograph, provided to us by a third party, was released in relation to this case. The Department does not believe that the couple was involved, and is looking into how their photograph, or the information that led to it, may have been misidentified by those who provided it to the Department.
