In November, detectives released this photo, asking for the public’s help to identify a woman caught on video using a stolen credit card at the Franklin Walmart. The female suspect came forward after seeing herself and her car in the news. Kimberly Peterson, 47, of Lewisburg, has been charged with Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card. She is free on a $2,500 bond, and due in court 03/03/2016 at 1:00pm.
John Snell, 49, of Franklin, was indicted by a grand jury for his involvement. Detectives determined that Snell provided Peterson with the stolen card. Peterson purchased nearly $400 in merchandise for her and Snell, while Snell waited outside in her white Chevrolet HHR. Detectives determined that Snell made several ATM withdrawals using the victim’s card, as well. Snell remains jailed on two violation of probation charges, and Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card.
The victim’s card, used by Petersen and Snell, was in a wallet lost by the victim at another Franklin business.
