Devonta Haynes, wanted for shooting a woman in the back on November 28, (see the original release) turned himself in yesterday. Haynes, charged with Reckless Endangerment, has been released from the Williamson County Jail on a $1,250 bond set by the Magistrate. He is due in court 12/17/2015 at 1:00pm.
In an interview, Haynes claims that after the shooting, he tossed the gun into a grassy area along Franklin’s West Main Street corridor. Despite an exhaustive area canvas, police were unable to locate a gun. Parents are urged to talk to their children about what to do if they come across a gun – never touching it, and notifying police or another adult. If you have information on the gun Haynes discarded after the shooting, call Franklin Police.
