Two felons are free on bond after their arrest, Wednesday, by Franklin PD’s Flex Team for shoplifting.
At 5:00 pm last night, a CoolSprings Galleria retailer alerted officers after recognizing two women from a previous theft case. A short time later, undercover officers watched 27-year-old Sade Harris, of Nashville, conceal handfuls of clothing in a shopping bag inside of The Children’s Place.
Officers stopped Harris, along with 25-year-old Maria Duncan, a short time later. It is then that officers discovered the two had also stolen an abundance of clothing from Crazy 8, Victoria’s Secret, and Aeropostale, totaling more than $850. Officers discovered an additional $2,000 in stolen merchandise inside Duncan’s vehicle.
Harris and Duncan, charged with Felony Theft and Unlawful Possession of Anti-Theft Device Removal Tools, are both free on $10,000 bonds. They are due in court 12/17/2015 at 1:00 pm. Both women are convicted felons. Duncan was out on probation at the time of her arrest, yesterday.
FPD Flex Officers have made 28 arrests
and recovered more than $7,000 in shoplifted merchandise
from the CoolSprings Galleria since Black Friday.
why was there bond only $10 K? This isn’t their “1st rodeo”, so it should have been way more! Hopefully, the judge can lock them up – at least for the rest of the year so they can’t “shop” anymore!
