Franklin Police Narcotics and Vice Detectives executed a search warrant today at 511 Iris. Detectives say that the sale of crack cocaine there was regular and ongoing, and that residents were troubled by the trail of drug users in and out of the area.
Joshua C. Walker, 19, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and the Class-A Felony of Manufacturing & Distribution of Crack Cocaine in a Designated Drug-Free Zone (near a park and a daycare). Walker is being held on a $30,000 bond; he is due in court 09/24/2015 at 1:00pm.
“Our investigation was initiated after several neighbors complained about drug activity centering on this apartment,” said Detective Sergeant Don Zelaya. “When neighbors talk, we listen – and today’s search warrant and arrest were successful because of the trusting relationships we have with law-abiding citizens who are unwilling to accept drug dealing in their neighborhood.”
