Ten new Franklin Police Recruits will be introduced to the Department on Friday, before beginning an intensive training program that will prepare them for outstanding service to the City’s growing population. The recruits were identified as the best and brightest of the nearly 250 who applied and tested for the privilege of wearing a Franklin Police badge.
Members of the community and media are invited to attend the brief introduction by Chief Deborah Faulkner at 9am, in the Community Room at Police Headquarters, 900 Columbia Avenue.
During Friday’s meeting, Chief Faulkner will present Officer David Edwards with the Outstanding Investigation Medal¸ for his work in solving a substantial fraud case with suspects who committed crimes spanning nine Tennessee counties, and four states.
“Friday will be an exciting day for Franklin,” said Chief Deborah Faulkner. “The Department is looking forward to adding ten new officers to serve our City and recognizing the hard work of one, in particular.”
The Department will make the new recruits available for a 30-minute media interview opportunity in the Chief’s Conference Room at 10:00am, Friday.
