Following an October 23 rash of early morning burglaries in two Lewisburg Pike subdivisions, authorities in Cheatham County were faced with a similar rash of burglaries later that same evening. The 2011 Toyota Tacoma stolen from a Franklin driveway was used in those burglaries. The stolen truck was recovered in the parking lot of the Richland Hills Apartments on Maudina Avenue in Nashville, Friday.
Metro Police arrested Billy Perry at 8:45 this morning, driving another stolen vehicle, after he rammed two Metro Police cars during an attempted getaway. A handgun was found in the front seat of Perry’s vehicle at the time of his arrest. Perry is being detained in Davidson County, and charges against him in the series of Franklin burglaries are expected.
Chief Deborah Faulkner said, “Professional law enforcement agencies working together leave little chance for criminals to escape justice.”
