Franklin, TN – A convicted felon is back behind bars after asking a 14-year-old girl and boy if they would make a pornographic
video. The question came during a sexually explicit conversation he started with the teens on Main Street, near the Square. During the encounter, last night at approximately 7:00pm, the teens tried walking away. That is when the suspect, 22-year-old Christopher Hooper of Franklin, grabbed the girl by the hand and said, “Come with me.” When the girl pulled away, the suspect left the area.
At 9:15pm, an officer assigned to the downtown area spotted a man matching the suspect’s description in the 200 block of Natchez Street. The suspect, Christopher Hooper, denied having any identification and provided officers with false information about who he was. During the course of the investigation, his true identity was determined.
Hooper, charged with two counts of Solicitation of a Minor, Assault, Criminal Simulation, and Violation of Probation, remains in custody at the Williamson County Jail; he is being held without bond. Hooper is a convicted felon, who was on probation at the time of this new arrest.
“This suspect’s actions violated the law, and a feeling of safety synonymous with Main Street,” said Chief Deborah Faulkner. “Our officers acted swiftly to identify and arrest him, and will work hard to ensure his successful prosecution, and the overall protection of our community from people like this.”
