Franklin, TN – At their State conference this week, the Governor’s Highway Safety Office recognized the Franklin Police Department as having unwavering dedication and outstanding commitment to highway safety in Tennessee. The award comes as a result of the Traffic Unit’s extraordinary work in impaired driving prevention, detection, and apprehension, and passenger safety outreach and education. What makes this award special is that nominations are made by other Tennessee law enforcement agencies.
During the conference, in addition to the Director’s Award, the Franklin Police Department won 3rd Place, overall, for Tennessee agencies with 101 to 200 police officers, and the State’s Occupant Protection Award.
“I am so proud of the Franklin Police Officers who made these recognitions possible,” said Chief Deborah Faulkner. “Keeping members of our community safe is our top-priority, and our commitment to traffic safety through education and enforcement is unwavering.”
