Fair Traffic Advisory

0321_trafficjam_630x420Franklin, TN – Franklin Police want to remind motorists that with the Williamson County Fair underway, and TDOT I-65 construction, traffic in and around the fairgrounds is extremely congested. Fairgoers and commuters simply traveling through the area should allow plenty of extra time and need to anticipate significant delays. In addition to officers already assigned to work fair traffic and security, extra officers are being assigned to assist with moving motorists through congested areas at peak times.

Officers assigned to Williamson County Fair Command say that alternate route recommendations, released on Wednesday, are being underutilized, adding to significant volume delays.

  1. My family went last night (Aug 2) and had to park in the overflow. After the rain came and went we had to walk back to our car. We got out faster than the ones that parked closer even after walking about a mile.
