Franklin, TN – Franklin Police arrested two prostitutes from California at a Murfreesboro Road hotel last night during a special operation. Acting on a tip yesterday afternoon, officers from FPD’s Flex Unit set up surveillance around Murfreesboro Road hotels. Officers zeroed in on the Quality Inn and Suites, 1307 Murfreesboro Rd, after activity there caught their eye.

During the course of the investigation, officers discovered a sexually explicit add on Backpage.com linking to the women and their hotel room. Inside, officers discovered four cell phones, two tablet computers, 24 reloadable credit cards, and more than $1,300 in cash. The women admitted to having sex with multiple men for $100 a piece at the Franklin hotel prior to being arrested.

The Chief’s message to prostitutes, pimps, and their Johns: go somewhere else. “This is a special community,” said Chief Deborah Faulkner. “Prostitution is an ugly and illegal business, and one that the Franklin Police Department will aggressively combat. Zero-tolerance is the only acceptable approach, here.”

Destiny Carrier, 22 of Los Angeles, and 23-year-old Seaisia Clark of Sacramento each remain jailed on a $70k bond. Both women, charged with Promoting Prostitution, are due in court 08/07/2014 at 1:00pm.
